I suppose, though, that you are already aware of the necessity of this particular marketing technique and that you are ready to put it to good use.

How will you, however, do that?

Are you planning on doing your SEO all on your own after either spending a few hours reading up on the topic or talking to that acquaintance of yours that knows a few things about search engine optimization?

Here’s my suggestion.

You can talk and read all you want, but it would be best to hire an expert for the job, since this is your business we are talking about.

Learning SEO takes time and those couple of hours you spend getting familiar with it definitely won’t do the trick.

What will do the trick, then?

Well, the answer to this question is pretty simple.

You need to hire an SEO agency and you need to hire a good one.

That brings us to our next question.

How will you make sure that the agency you are hiring is a great one that will be able to meet your specific search engine optimization goals and thus help your business succeed?

Whether you want to believe it or not, the answers to this question are actually questions.

I know that this might sound weird, but give it a minute there and it will ring a bell.

If it doesn’t, let me explain what I am trying to say.

If you want to make sure that you are hiring a perfect SEO agency, you will have to ask their representatives a few important questions and hear the answers.

Below you will find some of the top inquires that you should make before deciding which particular agency to hire.

1. How long have you been in this business?

First things first, you need to inquire about how long a particular company has been in business. Why is this important, though?

The simple truth is that you want the agency you hire to be experienced in this line of work, because that will guarantee you that they’ll do a good job.

I suppose that you do want them to do a good job, since you are probably not really thrilled about the idea of paying for services that won’t bring any results.

Don’t you worry! As long as you find the perfect agency, SEO will most definitely bring you the results you want.

So, if you come across, say, Pittsburgh SEO Magician or any similar agency, the first question you should ask them has to be connected to the experience they have.

Don’t forget that working with amateurs who have just started learning SEO yesterday is not quite a wise idea.

2. Can I see your previous work?

Moving on. After you have found some experienced agencies and you feel that one of those could be the perfect choice for you, it’s time to start digging a bit deeper with those questions.

Unsurprisingly, you will need to see their previous work, because that will give you a better idea about how successful specific companies actually are at what they are doing.

So, the next thing you should do is ask if you can see their previous work.

Now, you might come across agencies that don’t want to give you these types of information and that should be a bit of a red flag.

There is absolutely no point in hiding all of their clients.

Luckily, though, you will definitely be able to find companies that are ready to show you the work that they have done and thus help you decide whether you like the results of the work or not.

3. What would you do to meet my specific goals?

Once you have narrowed down your list of potential choices, you will need to start being a bit more specific.

Since you have decided to hire these experts, I am going to assume that you already have at least one SEO related goal in mind.

Well, you should ask the experts you are thinking of hiring whether that specific goal is feasible, as well as what they would do to meet it.

You shouldn’t expect them to give you all the details, because that would take a huge amount of time, but you should expect them to be as specific as possible.

It can easily happen, though, that you don’t quite know how to even set an SEO goal, even though you are sure that doing it is important.

Don’t worry. In such a case, you can ask the professionals about what they think your specific goals should be and then take note of those suggestions that you end up liking.

In any case, this is a question that you shouldn’t skip.

4. How long would it take?

Since we are getting specific now, the next thing you should ask is how long meeting the above mentioned goals would actually take.

If an agency offers you a miracle time-wise, you should definitely not hire them.

Remember, SEO is a long-term process and not a one-time thing and you want the experts working for you to know that.

5. How much would it cost?

Last, but not least, you will have to talk about the budget.

You probably already have a certain budget in mind and all that’s left is for you to inquire about the prices and see which agency can provide you with affordable services.

Keep in mind, though, that SEO is quite a valuable investment and that you should be ready to go a bit over the budget when you find the perfect agency.
